Case Synopsis
A 42-year-old female lawyer enters your hospital with the following complaints/characteristics:
- 15 min central burning chest discomfort
- no relief with antacids; no recurrence
- prior hypertension treated with ACE inhibitors; no other medications
- ECG: T-wave inversion in leads I & AVL (otherwise normal); no voltage criteria for LVH
- CKMB & troponin negative 3 hours after pain
- Echo: LV function normal; mild LVH & minor mitral valve prolapse
