GRACE: Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events
Study Design

Grace

Developed under the guidance of an 18-member scientific advisory committee composed of prominent cardiologists experienced in ACS research and clinical practice, GRACE is an international, multicentre, observational study that will gather and analyse data on ACS patients, and treatment practices used in the hospital management of these patients. In contrast to a controlled clinical trial, there is no imposed experimental intervention, and treatment is determined solely by the patient's physicians. Thus, data captured and reported in this registry reflect a 'real world' approach to diagnosis and treatment of ACS patients. These data may be more representative of patients with ACS than data collected in the context of randomised clinical trials in which restrictive inclusion/exclusion criteria may limit generalizability.
